Competitive Cash Compensation
The most tangible component of your total compensation package is your paycheck. MBA uses a variety of tools to ensure that employees are paid equitably and fairly while rewarding high-performing employees. These tools include on-going reviews of detailed market salary information and benchmarking to establish appropriate pay ranges. Employees are rewarded for achieving results and managers are held accountable for coaching, leading and providing resources to support their success. The end result creates an environment of accomplishments in addition to a blueprint enabling MBA to exceed in meeting its member's expectations.
Medical and Prescription Drugs
Understanding the importance of flexibility, MBA offers three health plans through CareFirst Blue Cross/Blue Shield - two PPOs and an HMO - with the PPOs providing both in-network and out-of-network components. Prescription drug coverage is also provided.
MBA offers in-network and out-of-network dental coverage through Metropolitan Life. Dental benefits provide in-network 100 percent coverage for two routine dental exams per family member each year. Orthodontic treatment is covered, with certain limitations, for dependent children under age 19. Basic and major restorative services, fillings and oral surgery are also covered after you meet an annual deductible.
MBA's vision program, through VSP, covers one exam and one pair of glasses or contact lenses per family member per year after a co-payment. You also receive discounts on special lenses and laser eye surgery.
Income Protection Benefits - Disability Income
MBA's income protection benefits provide you and your survivors with valuable income replacement in the event of disability or death. If you become sick or disabled and are unable to work, MBA provides both short- and long-term disability benefits, at no cost to you. After a 15-day waiting period, short-term disability income will replace 66-2/3 percent of your basic weekly earnings, up to a maximum of $1,500 per week. . Long-term disability benefits protect you if you sickness or disability prevent you from working. Your income is replaced at 66 2/3 percent of your monthly base salary, up to a maximum of $15,000, after a 90-day waiting period.
MBA provides life insurance protection for you at no cost. In the event of your death, MBA will pay your beneficiary an amount equal to twice your annual base salary, up to $500,000. Modest dependent life insurance benefits are also provided for your spouse and children, at no cost to you.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
MBA provides Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage for you at no cost. In the event of your death or dismemberment as a result of an accident, MBA will pay you or your beneficiary an amount equal to twice your annual base salary, up to $500,000.
Business Travel Accident Insurance
MBA also pays the full cost of added protection up to $100,000 to you or your beneficiary if you sustain accidental bodily injuries or die while traveling on MBA business.
401(k) Savings Plan
The MBA 401(k) Savings Plan allows you to save for the future on a tax-deferred basis. You are eligible to contribute between 1 percent and 16 percent of your base salary before taxes, as set by the IRS. Your savings opportunities increase when paired with MBA's competitive employer matching and vesting schedule.
